This year we mark 70 years since fighting in the Korean War came to an end. In total about 81,000 British and over 50,000 Commonwealth service personnel served during the Korean War, with British casualties being more than 1,100 killed in action and more than 2500 wounded.

As we mark 60 years since National Service officially ended, we celebrate and remember a generation of men for whom conscription was an everyday part of life.

We continue to remember the sacrifices of our contemporary servicemen and women as they continue to defend UK interests at home and abroad, even more prevalent as the Ukraine/Russia war continues to cause global upheaval. It is more important now than ever to be able to defend our way of life.

To help us remember and celebrate, we have performances from the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, Nathan Ogston, Alison Ross and The High School of Dundee Pipe Band.
