Irish-Scottish labour and political organiser James Connolly lived in Dundee during his formative years as a socialist-republican activist and educator, a period of his life that remains relatively underexplored. Conor McCabe’s recent edited volume, The Lost and Early Writings of James Connolly, 1889-1898, is a timely reminder of Connolly’s continued relevance today. Come along to this event as part of Speak Oot: Dundee’s Festival of Trade Unionism.
