Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers

Launching the brand-new Dundee Book Festival are the brilliant Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers, coming to the city for the first time.

It all started at The House of Blues in New Orleans almost ten years ago where Mark Billingham, Stuart Neville, and Doug Johnstone had a drunken idea. They then teamed up with crime-writing pals Val McDermid, Luca Veste, and Chris Brookmyre to form a band Fun Lovin Crime Writers a full-on rock n roll experience, murdering songs for fun in front of anyone who will listen. They’ve since wowed and rocked crowds at book and music festivals up and down the country (including two appearances at Glastonbury). You’re in for a real treat as songs by The Beatles, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello, The Clash, and The Proclaimers are given the Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers distinctly criminal flavour.
