SUMMARY:Treasure Island
DESCRIPTION:Ahoy there me hearties! Long John Silver and his crew of salty old sea dogs are weighing anchor at Ashbrook this summer with an outdoor production of the pirate classic\, Treasure Island. \nFrom the moment young Jim Hawkins stumbles upon a treasure map at the Admiral Benbow Inn he finds himself embroiled in the murky underworld of pirates – and soon he is on the high seas in search of the pirate hoard . But once aboard the Hispaniola\, Jim becomes only too aware that he is not the only one who knows of the map’s existence.. \nPacked full of action\, drama\, sword fights and sea shanties\, Michael Whitmore’s thrilling new adaptation will have you on the edge of your seat as Jim manfully tries to outwit the pirates and get to the treasure first. \nSo why not grab a blanket and head along to Ashbrook for an exciting evening of buccaneering adventure as Quantum Theatre present Treasure Island\, a treat for the whole family. \nThe show will start at 6pm with a running time of approx. 1hr 45mins (including a 15 min interval). Gates open at 5.15pm with refreshments available from our café throughout the evening. \nFeel free to bring along your own picnic rug or camp chair so that you can enjoy the show in maximum comfort.  Please note\, this is an outdoor theatre production\, and the show goes on even if it rains\, so please dress appropriately!
