SUMMARY:Open Studios at Meadow Mill
DESCRIPTION:Dundee’s largest artist community comes together for open studios weekend  \nArtists and makers based at Meadow Mill in Dundee will be opening their studio doors to the public for this year’s Doors Open Days weekend on 26 and 27 September\, inviting visitors to step inside for a rare look at their creative spaces.  \nHome to 58 artist studios\, Meadow Mill is the largest facility of its kind in the region. Wasps – Scotland’s largest provider of creative spaces – was founded in Dundee in 1977\, and acquired Meadow Mill in 1985. Today\, the former jute mill provides a vibrant base for a diverse community of creative practitioners\, including ceramicists\, painters\, textile artists\, printmakers\, sculptors and designers.  \nThe Meadow Mill Open Studios event offers a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and explore the private working spaces where Dundee’s artists develop their ideas\, experiment with materials and create new work. Visitors can meet members of the artist community\, discover different creative practices and get an insight into the process behind the finished product.  \nOne of the artists participating in the Open Studios weekend is Katie McGroarty\, who regularly hosts workshops and life drawing classes from her own space. Katie is looking forward to the event\, saying: “It’s such a special building\, full of character\, history and creative energy\, and events like this are a brilliant chance to show the public what happens here every day. As artists\, we spend so much time making\, testing ideas and sharing skills through workshops\, so it feels exciting to invite people in\, talk about the work and celebrate the community that makes Meadow Mill such an inspiring place to be.”  \nKate Gray\, Wasps CEO\, has said of the upcoming weekend: “Meadow Mill is more than a workspace. It’s a place where artists and makers are secure to stay\, feel they belong and grow their practice and career. Creative communities need creative infrastructure to thrive\, and we’re delighted to welcome visitors during Doors Open Days to meet the artists and makers whose work helps define Dundee’s cultural identity and makes this such an important creative community.”  \nWhether you are an established art lover\, curious about making and design\, or simply looking for something different to explore in Dundee\, the Open Studios weekend is an opportunity to meet local artists\, support creative businesses and be inspired by the work happening inside this historic building.  \nToday\, the building continues that tradition of making\, production and creativity\, with its historic spaces now the creative home to several generations of artists and designers. Visitors are warmly invited to come along\, explore the studios and get to know the people behind the work.  \nEvent details  \nDoors Open Days at Meadow Mill Open Studios\nLocation: Meadow Mill\, West Hendersons Wynd\, Blackness\, DD1 5BY\nDate: Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September\nTime: 10am–5pm both days\nAdmission: Free admission. SUMMARY:Mort
DESCRIPTION:Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort\, he offered him a job. \nBut when Mort is left in charge for an evening\, he allows his heart to rule his head and soon the whole of causality and the future of the Discworld itself\, are at risk. Along the way\, Mort encounters not only Death’s adopted daughter\, Ysabell – who has been 16 for 35 years – and his mysterious manservant Albert – whose cooking can harden an artery at ten paces – but also an incompetent wizard with a talking doorknocker and a beautiful\, but rather bad-tempered and dead\, princess. He also\, of course\, meets Death. \nOn Terry Pratchett’s Discworld\, Death really is a 7 foot skeleton in a black hooded robe and wielding a scythe. He is also fond of cats\, enjoys a good curry\, and rides around the skies on a magnificent white horse called Binky.

SUMMARY:Dinosaur Adventure Live – Danger On T-Rex Mountain
DESCRIPTION:The Greatest Prehistoric Show on Earth – A Roaring Success for Dino-Fans of All Ages – Now in its 5th year! \n65 million years in the making… Dinosaur Adventure Live brings an electrifying fusion of family-friendly storytelling\, stunning puppetry\, and roarsome science that brings the ancient world of dinosaurs crashing back to life. From a shadowy raptor on the loose to baby dinos you can feed (carefully!)\, every twist in the plot brings gasps\, giggles\, and the occasional jump-scare from the youngest audience members. \nCreated by the imaginative mind of Mike Newman (Exciting Science)\, the show blends humour\, thrills\, and hands-on learning into an interactive stage experience that had children squealing with delight and parents beaming from ear to ear. \nThe production excels in engaging its audience – not just with its storytelling\, but through physical interactivity. Children are encouraged to stomp\, roar\, and swish their tails along with the action. And when the T-Rex finally bursts onto the stage in a heart-pounding finale… well you’ll have to find out! \nBeyond the action\, the show shines in its educational moments. With fascinating “Dino-Facts” sprinkled throughout\, kids learn real paleontological tidbits without even realizing they’re being taught. And with such high-energy delivery\, not a single eye wandered. \n🎟️ Whether your child is dinosaur-obsessed or just loves a good adventure\, Danger on T-Rex Mountain is an absolute must-see. It’s immersive\, interactive\, and hilariously entertaining—with just enough “scary” to keep the grown-ups entertained too.
